Trevor Courtney's Case Results

Massive Verdict Won Against Union Pacific

Attorney Kyle Findley and our team represented a grievously injured woman who was struck by train operators working for Union Pacific.

On March 5, 2016, our client took a brief rest next to some railroad tracks after losing her friends during a night out. Minutes later, train operators spotted her unmoving body on the tracks, identifying her as a person. Despite the life-threatening consequences an impact would have, the train operators didn’t stop or even slow down the train. As a result, our client suffered life-changing harm.

After seven years of delays, Union Pacific was forced to finally meet us in court. Because our firm proved the train operators might have avoided impact with our client, the jury awarded her a historic $557 million verdict. This money will go toward ensuring she gets the medical care and financial security she needs.

$3.125 Million Recovered for Injured Platform Worker

Our client was working in the Gulf of Mexico when he was slammed to the floor of a vessel while defenseless in a transfer basket. $1.3 Million Won in Settlement for Injured Food Delivery Worker

Arnold & Itkin was able to secure a seven-figure settlement for our deserving client. This husband and father, a Texan commercial food delivery worker, had sustained serious injuries to his neck, back, and head in an incident where he was impacted by frozen materials that had been improperly loaded by the defendants. The defendants included transportation companies and a national supermarket chain, who had all failed to adhere to their own company policies. This negligence on their part put our client in a perilous position. We are proud to have gotten him compensation to help with his recovery and rebuilding his life.

Attorney's fees and expenses totaled $516,121.19.
