Attorney Roy Buckmaster
Attorney Roy Buckmaster doesn't just view his legal career as a job; he knows that it's his life's calling. Roy finds fulfillment every time he's able to help people who are unfairly suffering because of circumstances they can't control. When normal people are facing difficult challenges, Roy knows that he can be the difference-maker they need.
Roy studied law at the University of Arizona, where he enjoyed working at the Child Family Law Clinic. Here, he had the opportunity to represent the interests of children during child protection proceedings. While at school, Roy studied hard to remain on the Dean's List. He also participated in the Veteran's clinic, the Volunteer Lawyers Program, the American Inn of Court, the Arizona Journal of International and Comparative Law, and clerked for a respected litigation firm in Tucson.
Roy didn't waste time getting into the courtroom after graduating from law school in 2014. He served as a criminal prosecutor throughout Arizona, including agencies in Yavapai County and the Prescott. During his time as a prosecutor, Roy excelled at being the voice that victims needed during legal proceedings. Roy managed hundreds of challenging cases. He made sure to be the guide and counselor that those suffering from crimes needed during the entire court process.
Over the last two years, Roy has changed his focus from criminal law to civil litigation. This transition makes sense as working in civil litigation allows Roy to apply the same passion for helping others that he used while working as a prosecutor. His trial skills and focus on pre-litigation strategy have made him a welcomed member of the Arnold & Itkin family. He uses them to help clients get the results they need after they've lost so much.
Roy lives in Heber Valley, Utah with his wife and three children. By wakeboarding and snowboarding during his free time, he always finds a way to jump on a board no matter what season it is!
