Ryan Chapman's Headshot

“There's no substitute for preparation, no shortcut to earning someone's trust, and no excuse for giving less than everything you've got when someone is counting on you.”

Biography

At Arnold & Itkin LLP, Ryan Chapman represents clients in catastrophic injury and wrongful death cases. He believes that holding responsible parties accountable requires more than legal knowledge. It requires the willingness to ask uncomfortable questions, demand straight answers, and hold a hard line when the stakes are highest. His clients come first, always.

Ryan didn’t choose plaintiffs’ law by accident. Growing up in Gilbert, Arizona, as the youngest of four boys, he spent years listening to his father (a plaintiffs’ attorney) talk about the people he fought for: families trying to put their lives back together after something terrible had happened to them. Those stories stuck. Long before Ryan ever thought about law school, he understood what it meant to be someone’s last line of defense.

That sense of purpose followed him through Arizona State University, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting, and on to BYU Law School. There, Ryan immersed himself in every dimension of the legal craft: serving on law review, working as a legal writing teaching assistant, clerking at Hill Air Force Base, and competing in trial advocacy competitions at BYU and across the country. What those experiences taught him, above all else, was that details matter, that preparation is non-negotiable, and that the people counting on you deserve everything you’ve got.

When he’s not in the office, Ryan enjoys cheering on the Phoenix Suns with his family.
