Arnold & Itkin Files Jones Act Case in Galveston County

The offshore injury attorneys at Arnold & Itkin filed a Jones Act lawsuit this week on behalf of a Texas man who was injured on a barge. The plaintiff was working on a barge owned by Harley Marine Services off the Mississippi coast when he sustained serious injuries to his head, arm, elbow, neck, back, and hand after falling roughly 30 feet from a damaged ladder. As a result of the fall, he was knocked unconscious when his head hit the vessel and he fell into the water below.

The lawsuit, which was filed in Galveston County, Texas, alleges that Harley Marine Services and Chevron failed to provide the plaintiff with a safe working environment and failed to maintain and provide the worker with proper equipment.

The plaintiff is seeking damages for medical bills, loss of past and future earning, physical pain and impairment, and maintenance and cure.

Jones Act attorneys Kurt Arnold, Kyle Findley, and Kala Sellers are representing the victim.
