Suit Filed on Behalf of Injured Seaman

Attorneys Kurt Arnold, Kyle Findley, and another attorney from Arnold & Itkin have filed a suit on behalf of an injured seaman against the Southern States Offshore, Inc. The plaintiff was employed by this company and was working on their vessel in the Gulf of Mexico when the injury occurred. According to the victim's testimony, he was ordered to offload cargo from the vessel during rough seas and in the process he fell backwards and severely injured his back and shoulder as a result.

This injury was also caused due to the unsafe conditions on the vessel. Though there were many safety concerns on the ship, the fact that the cargo was poorly spaced out he workers were often required to climb over the cargo. It is believed that the limited space on the deck played a large role in the plaintiff's accident and subsequent injures on the job. The suit is currently pending in Harris County, Texas.
