Recreational Boat Crash Kills Former Ohio Mayor

James Seney, the former mayor of Sylvania, Ohio, was killed in a boat crash on June 2 in Lake of the Woods in Northwestern Ontario. Another passenger onboard was also killed, and a third was critically injured, but in stable condition.

The accident occurred in the early evening, as the three men were heading back to shore for dinner. The boat apparently malfunctioned, causing the vessel to crash into a rock wall. The two deceased were killed instantly, and the other passenger was taken to hospital for medical care.
