Suit Filed for Mate Injured in Fall

Our client was working as a mate on a vessel. While he was painting, he was working next to an improperly maintained guardrail. He suddenly plummeted 18 feet to the deck below because of the company's negligence in ensuring the guardrail was in working order. He sustained a broken pelvis and sacrum, a dislocated and fractured right shoulder, and injuries to other parts of his body.

This serious accident was also completely preventable. The resulting catastrophic injuries now affect not only this worker’s current and perhaps future capacity to work, but also this husband’s family, their financial outlook, and their emotional well-being.
