Arnold & Itkin Shares Deepwater Horizon Videos
On April 20, 2010, an explosion on the Deepwater Horizon, a semi-submersible oil drilling rig owned by Transocean caused one of the largest oil spills in recordable history. Beyond this massive environmental impact, however, was the devastation that occurred to the workers who were employed on the rig at the time of the explosion. There were over 100 crewmembers who were on the rig – many of which suffered serious, life-threatening and even fatal injuries; this left not only them, but their families suffering.
At Arnold & Itkin, we were proud to step forward and help represent the best interests of 27 crewmembers who suffered from this tragedy. It was our mission to not only make sure that our clients were properly compensated, but to ensure that a tragedy of this magnitude and scope never happens again. As founding attorney Jason Itkin says, "All the money in the world doesn't bring back the lives of the eleven, the folks who died. It doesn't help their families. The money doesn't make nightmares go away or orthopedic injuries feel any better. So one of the things that was important was to sort of shine a light on bad safety practices and to make sure that someone changed in the industry."
By visiting with them personally, investing considerable amounts of time and energy in the case, we came to know them as more than just clients – we knew them as friends. We look to extend this same level of personalized and high-quality legal representation to all clients that we work with. If you would like to learn more about our firm, we encourage you to watch our Deepwater Horizon videos and see what these clients had to say about the Arnold & Itkin experience. You can find these videos not only in the video vault on our personal site, but also on your YouTube channel and at our Dailymotion account.
