Led by Cory Itkin, Arnold & Itkin’s maritime lawyers have filed a lawsuit on behalf of a husband and father of two from Batson, Texas.
On the day of the incident, our client, who is an operator, was performing maintenance on a vessel. Suddenly, the engine room door fell onto our client’s head. This improperly maintained door weighed several hundred pounds, severely injuring our client, even degloving his scalp. He also sustained a compound fracture of T1-T4 vertebrae and lower back trauma. These catastrophic, life-changing injuries have left this man with a painful, costly, and lengthy road to recovery, all of which the liable company could have prevented.
One of the attorneys on the case said, “This incident should have never happened. But unfortunately, when companies put profits over safety, incidents like this one become inevitable. We look forward to helping the responsible company responsible.”
This case was filed in Harris County, Texas.
