Biography

A Southern California native, Shane Munton developed his work ethic and sense of discipline early on through competitive high school swimming and water polo. Following high school, he spent two years on a church mission, where he devoted himself to serving communities far from home and strengthened his commitment to compassionate service.

Shane pursued his undergraduate education in Hawaii, earning a bachelor's degree in Accounting alongside a minor in Political Science and a certificate in Legal Studies. His passion for community service deepened during this time, ultimately leading him to BYU Law School in Provo, Utah, where he realized the courtroom was where he could make his greatest impact.

During law school, Shane excelled in trial advocacy and built an impressive competitive record. As a 1L, he took first place in his trial competition. He advanced to the finals of the Linda Anderson Trial Competition in his second year, then claimed first place in the same competition as a 3L. Shane also played a key role in guiding his team to the regional semifinals of a national trial competition.

Shane's practice at Arnold & Itkin focuses on serious injury and wrongful death cases, including truck accidents, industrial accidents, motor vehicle accidents, oilfield injuries, and more. He approaches every case with unwavering preparation and puts his clients' needs first. His mission is simple: advocate for people who lack the means to advocate for themselves.

When he's not working, Shane spends quality time with his wife and their three children, trains for Spartan races, and enjoys various types of fishing.
