Case Filed for Survivor of Tragic Lifeboat Accident

Arnold & Itkin Attorneys Noah M. Wexler and Ben Bireley recently filed a lawsuit on behalf of a Shell employee who is suffering after a lifeboat fell from an oil platform in the Gulf of Mexico. The incident killed two other workers and caused our client to sustain serious injuries to his head, neck, back, shoulder, knee, and other parts of his body.

Offshore work is some of the most dangerous and grueling possible. Workers in the industry face hostile environments that require them to rely on safety equipment. When this safety equipment doesn't work right, it causes devastating accidents such as this one. Companies making the safety equipment that these workers rely on must ensure that they’re making safe products.

Arnold & Itkin will fight to earn this man the compensation that he needs after suffering from this preventable accident. Our team has extensive experience representing workers after offshore accidents, and we’ve recovered billions on behalf of clients. We filed this case in East Baton Rouge Parish against Palfinger USA, LLC, the company that manufactured and sold the lifeboat and its hoisting and securing system.
