Case Filed on Behalf of Seaman Injured by Another Worker
Posted on
Attorneys Kurt Arnold, Kyle Findley, Kala Sellers, and Adam Lewis filed suit today against an offshore drilling company on behalf of a Jones Act seaman who was seriously injured when he was attacked by a coworker. Our client was struck in the face with a pole by a co-worker who lost his temper without reason.
To compound matters, the defendant company conducted an inadequate investigation concluding that the victim should be terminated, and the perpetrator remain employed with the company. If a company fails to protect employees and chooses to keep dangerous individuals employed, they must be held accountable.
The worker suffered serious injuries that have required numerous medical procedures. The maritime lawyers at Arnold & Itkin are proud to represent this man as he seeks to recover from this terrible event. We will continue to hold companies like our client's former employer accountable for allowing unsafe work environments.
The case was filed in Harris County, Texas.
