Lawsuit Filed on Behalf of Injured Tankerman

The Jones Act lawyers at Arnold & Itkin LLP recently filed a lawsuit on behalf of a Texas tankerman who was injured while working on a tugboat. The seaman collapsed from heatstroke brought on by working in a harsh and unsafe environment. He lost consciousness, hurt his neck, and sustained a traumatic brain injury due to his fall.

Offshore work is a dangerous occupation as it is; it is essential for companies to protect their workers if they're working under extreme conditions. Employers who fail to protect their workers must be held accountable for the worker's sake and for the sake of other employees.

Brain injuries are serious and often result in permanent, life-altering complications. They also come with life-altering medical costs. Arnold & Itkin’s maritime lawyers are looking forward to helping this offshore worker achieve financial stability and get him the medical treatment he deserves.

The vessel was docked in Morgan City, Louisiana, and the case was filed in Harris County, Texas.
