Lawsuit Filed for Injured Jones Act Worker

Arnold & Itkin LLP recently filed a lawsuit for an injured Jones Act worker who was involved in an accident while working on a barge in the inland waters of Louisiana. The seaman was commissioned as part of a crew that was attempting to lift a derrick. During the operation, the seaman's employer ordered him to walk across a deck that was slippery with oil. The worker followed orders, but slipped and fell as a result. The man sustained injuries to his back and knee. The suit was filed in Harris County, Texas. Arnold & Itkin is proud to represent this man and workers like him who become injured while performing their job duties offshore. Our firm will fight to see that he gets the benefits he deserves under the Jones Act. If you are an offshore worker who has been injured, learn more about your rights by contacting our firm today.
