Rebecca Adams

Attorney Rebecca Adams

Rebecca “Becky” Adams is an exceptional individual, both as an attorney and as a veteran. Before committing her practice to the protection of plaintiffs, Becky worked in commercial litigation at some of the most renowned firms in the nation. She previously worked a Houston trial boutique, as well as one of the largest powerhouse firms in the world (located in Washington, D.C.). She also clerked for some of the highest legal offices in her home state of California.

Becky has clerked for:

  • The California Attorney General’s Office
  • The Securities and Exchange Commission (in NYC)
  • The U.S. Attorney of Northern California

As a native Californian, Becky studied law at Stanford University, serving as an editor for the Stanford Journal of Law, Business, & Finance. She also graduated from Stanford with Pro Bono Distinction for her extensive public service while earning her law degree. As a veteran, she was also the Communications Director for the Stanford Law Veterans Organization.

For her undergraduate journey, Becky took a different path than most—she earned her bachelor’s at the U.S. Naval Academy, graduating with a degree in History with Merit. She earned her officer’s commission at the same time, and after graduation served as a Weapons Officer on the U.S.S. Rushmore (LSD-47) from July 2007 to 2009. She served in the Arabian Gulf, leading a division of 18 sailors in the War on Terror.

During her second tour, she served as an Exercise Planner and Operations Officer at the Mine Countermeasures Squadron One and Division Three One (MCMRON 1 & MCMDIV 31). She coordinated massive, complex international training exercises between nations such as Canada, South Korean, Japan, Singapore, Australia, and Panama. She also trained multinational forces in wartime exercises and in providing humanitarian assistance.

In 2012 Becky left active duty to pursue her lifelong dream: law. She enrolled in Stanford Law, but she maintains a rank of Lieutenant in the Navy’s Individual Ready Reserve.

Her military service earned Becky multiple awards, including:

  • Navy & Marine Corps. Commendation Medal
  • 3 Navy & Marine Corps. Achievement Medals
  • Global War on Terror Expeditionary Medal
  • Navy Sea Service Deployment Ribbon

In her spare time, Becky loves exploring Houston and listening to live country music. She and her husband Josh are often found cheering for her alma maters football teams or getting involved at Houston First Baptist Church.

Rebecca Adams's Case Results

$2.875M Settlement for Seriously Injured Worker

Our law firm represented a worker who suffered serious crush injuries to both his arm and his hand. Attorneys Jason Itkin, Noah Wexler, Ben Bireley, and Rebecca Adam took on the case, beating back the claims of the defendant who denied that the incident ever occurred. The defendant refused to take any responsibility. Despite this, we were successful in reaching a major settlement, recovering $2.875 million for our client.

Attorney's fees and expenses totaled $1,435,442.73.

$2.5 Million Settlement Recovered for Injured Seaman

Attorneys Jason Itkin, Noah Wexler, and Rebecca Adams secured $4 million for an offshore worker who badly injured his lower back. Our client was working aboard a vessel when he was ordered to do a heavy lift without proper support. The work caused a disc herniation in his lower back that required surgery to treat. The defendant settled with our client before trial, which was pending in Harris County, Texas.

Attorney's fees and expenses totaled $1,051,842.70.

$1.1 Million Settlement Secured for Victim of Massive Truck Accident

Attorneys Noah Wexler, Ben Bireley, and Rebecca Adams obtained a million-dollar settlement on behalf of our client—a survivor of a multi-vehicle crash that involved an 18-wheeler. Our client suffered serious injuries to his back and neck as a result, which kept him from earning a living. The defendant (the company who employed the truck driver) attempted to avoid responsibility by blaming the other drivers in the accident and by downplaying our client's injuries—injuries that required multiple operations. We continued working right up to the trial date to hold the company accountable. At the last minute, they chose to settle with our client rather than face a jury.

Attorney's fees and expenses totaled $461,061.89.

Confidential Settlement Obtained for Small Local Business

Attorney Rebecca Adams achieved a massive settlement for a local business caught in a David-and-Goliath legal battle. Our client, a small business, was filing suit against a much larger opponent in a case involving a breach of contract, fraud, and trade secret misappropriation. Despite hiring an army of corporate attorneys, the defendant still opted to settle with our client rather than face them in court. Our client now has what is rightfully theirs. Arnold & Itkin is proud to have helped another local business protect itself from unethical and unfair practices.

Attorney's fees and expenses totaled $0.00.
