Attorney Jacob Karam
As a lawyer dedicated to serving the injured and wronged, Jacob Karam wholly commits himself to getting the best results for the people in his care. He grew up as the eldest of 5 siblings in Friendswood, TX. He learned he wanted to stand up for those in need at a young age.
Naturally competitive as a young man (and even today), Jacob poured his heart into football. He was all-state quarterback three times and played college ball at Texas Tech and the University of Memphis. He set numerous records during his college career, but his greatest achievement was being selected as captain to each team. Meanwhile, he spent his time off the field serving his community, earning recognition from multiple philanthropic groups.
Jacob began his legal career shortly after a brief stint with the Green Bay Packers. He enrolled at the University of Houston and applied the lessons he learned on the gridiron to his law studies. While there, he clerked for the Honorable Judge Caroline Baker of the 295th Judicial District in Harris County. It was here that Jacob was first exposed to the courtroom.
During his time as a law student, he was the senior articles editor for the Houston Journal of Health Law & Policy and graduated cum laude. Once again, Jacob was chosen by his classmates to lead them—this time, by delivering the commencement speech at their graduation.
Jacob first worked as an attorney at a prominent international firm, where he practiced international arbitration, commercial litigation, and white collar criminal defense. However, the work being done at Arnold & Itkin—providing help for the injured and mistreated—eventually drew him into his first calling: advocacy for people in need.
Jacob and his wife Donna live in Houston. He spends time with family, plays sports, volunteers, and travels whenever he gets the chance. He is an active member of Our Lady of the Cedars Maronite Catholic Church in Houston.
