Biography

Born to a family of attorneys, Claire knew she wanted to become a lawyer at a young age. Her passion for trial advocacy matched her tendency to meet obstacles head-on. Early in her legal studies, she fell in love with the courtroom, the long hours of trial preparation, and the power of standing up for someone else. Like the best trial litigators, Claire never backs down from a challenge, no matter how big or powerful her opponent might be. When bad things happen, her clients know they can rely on her to fight hard on their behalf. No matter what.

Claire earned her undergraduate degree in Political Science at Louisiana State University. Claire was also a proud member of LSU’s Delta Delta Delta chapter.

Starting at 19, Claire started working at law firms to gain legal experience and learn about advocating for clients. Then, something happened that changed all of her aspirations. During her senior year of college, Claire was involved in an accident caused by a drunk driver. She used this event as inspiration to someday help others as a personal injury lawyer.

After obtaining her undergraduate degree, Claire studied law at the Paul M. Herbert Law Center at Louisiana State University. She received the Chancellor’s Scholarship and was on the Dean’s List there. Claire was also honored to receive the CALI Excellence Award in Legal Research and Writing, a recognition reserved for a top student.

After her first year of law school, Claire studied comparative law abroad in Lyon, France. She also gained valuable experience from Chief Judge Shelly Dick from the Middle District of Louisiana.

Claire participated in multiple trial competitions at LSU Law, including the Vinson Elkins trial advocacy program. She had the opportunity to learn from experienced trial attorneys and judges. While at LSU Law, Claire earned her Juris Doctorate, a degree in Comparative Law, and a Graduate Certificate in Energy and Law Policy.

Claire worked for various skilled attorneys and had an externship with United States District Magistrate Judge Richard L. Bourgeois, Jr. for the Middle District of Louisiana. After moving to Houston, Claire joined Arnold & Itkin as a law clerk. She was admitted to the Texas Bar in October 2019 and joined Arnold & Itkin as an attorney in 2020. During her short time with the firm, which began during a global pandemic, she has tried multiple cases to verdict and has participated in hundreds of depositions. Her most recent verdict was $1.5 million. Since joining our team, Claire has recovered nearly $60,000,000 in settlements for her clients.

When she isn’t working on a case, Claire enjoys the outdoors, traveling, and spending time with her family. She also goes to as many LSU football games as possible to continue to cheer on the Tigers in person!
