Case Filed for Jones Act Seaman Injured on a Tugboat

Arnold & Itkin LLP has filed a case in Baton Rouge on behalf of a man who was severely injured while working on a marine tug boat. His captain asked him to perform a dangerous task—without stopping the ship or ensuring the seaman’s safety. When our client performed what was asked of him, he suffered an accident and injured his neck and back.

As a seaman injured at sea, our client is entitled to compensation under the Jones Act. We are honored to be pursuing damages against his captain and other parties on his behalf. As with any case, our hope is to secure the medical care and benefits rightfully due to our client, as well as the support he needs to survive while recovering.

We look forward to helping our client get justice and hold his employers publicly responsible for his pain.
