Deepwater Horizon Client Experience
While drilling at the Macondo Prospect on April 20, 2010, an explosion occurred on a semi-submersible oil drilling rig owned by Transocean, the Deepwater Horizon. The resulting fires could not be extinguished and led to the rig's sinking two days after the initial explosion. The result was one of the largest oil spills in recordable history.
