On April 20, 2010, an explosion on the Deepwater Horizon, a semi-submersible oil drilling rig owned by Transocean caused one of the largest oil spills in recordable history. Beyond this massive environmental impact, however, was the devastation that occurred to the workers who were employed on the rig at the time of the explosion. There were over 100 crewmembers who were on the rig – many of which suffered serious, life-threatening and even fatal injuries; this left not only them, but their families suffering.

At Arnold & Itkin, we were proud to step forward and help represent the best interests of 27 crewmembers who suffered from this tragedy. It was our mission to not only make sure that our clients were properly compensated, but to ensure that a tragedy of this magnitude and scope never happens again.
